Pinhole Camera Photos
Pinhole Camera Process:
The Results: Digital/Pinhole Camera
Very First Try (This is what I thought I was going to capture and the actual pinhole result)
(The exposure wasn't sufficient on this one).

Pinhole photography is not an easy task; as you can see, the digital images somewhat differ from the pinhole images. It's hard to estimate what will be present in the frame or how wide of an angle it will capture. Of course, the more you do it, the better you get at taking the pictures you originally meant to take.
If I was teaching pinhole photography, I would take a small group of young adults, prepare the pinholes for them and have them prepare their own box (exactly like we did in class). In my experience, young adults are often very enthusiastic in trying new things that are a little challenging.
I would tell the students to walk outside around their neighborhood and collect images using the rule of the 3 "Fs": Face, Food and Fence. They would have to capture a picture of a face (familiar or not), a picture of some kind of food (from chestnuts falling off a tree to a restaurant dish on a Terrasse) and finally, a picture of some kind of fence (to get a sense of landscape and perspective). For obvious reason, I would try to do this class during warmer weather.
The 2 main goals for doing this project would be; to teach them a new way to capture images and practice their observational skills and to get them outside their house and get to know and explore the area they live in.
